Women

If I live ten thousand years
I could not approach the hatred
of women. I would walk away.
Not bother with hemlines,
and entitlements,
and the endless little traps.
Not batter my eyes with knives
and then accuse you of murder.
Or endlessly drag up some rotting squid,
of some species unthought,
and identify it,
and catagorise it,
and fight to have it catagorised,
and legislated,
and then deny it existed,
until later.
I would walk away
punching it as I went.
